Bluebell Opticom TDM700 system used for Royal Wedding

Customer Bluebell Opticom's  TDM700 System was used to provide fibre optic links from three cameras to the outside broadcast van at Bucklebury during the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katherine.  Outside broadcast facilities were provided by In5 Broadcast and this is what they say:

"An honour to be a part of this huge celebration across the United Kingdom, in5 Broadcast was very happy to be asked to supply high definition pictures from Kate's home town Bucklebury.

Our job was to supply a three camera HD truck at the Village green, live to the main BBC hub at Canada gate, This was an ideal opportunity to use our new Bluebell fibre optic units enabling use to cover the entire green with its fun activities."

If you go to the in5 Broadcast website http://www.in5broadcast.co.uk and click on the Royal Wedding link you can see lots of pictures of the Bluebell unit on the back of a Panasonic HPX 3700 HD camera.

Obviously we are pleased because we designed the housing on our Solidworks CAD system.  We had a matter of weeks to get the prototypes ready for the IBC 2010 show in Amsterdam, but it was worth it because Bluebell won a prestigious Pick Hit Award for IBC2010.  Full details on the Bluebell Opticom website http://www.bluebellcomms.co.uk

My only slight gripe in all this is that we do a lot of beautiful laser printing on Bluebell's products, and looking at the unit on the in5 Broadcast camera I would like to see the white Bluebell Opticom logo on the side of the box.  The benefit of laser printing is that it will not rub off, unlike screen printing. Maybe I'll have a word with Paul...

Did you know?

You can fit any size circuit board into our enclosures. Either with a special carrier plate or with a custom sized UnioBox. Did you also know that there is no minimum order for boxes or panel printing. Just email us your requirements and drawings and we can quote you per unit.

We can engineer your housing for you, using your circuit board and a sketch of your front panel.
