Uniobox2 special used for Rock Grotto Headphone Amp

We designed a special power supply housing for Mike Grierson at Rock Grotto.  He has designed a power supply that has a mains transformer rather than a switch mode supply and converts AC to a variety of voltages needed for the entire range of small X-range Musical Fidelity products from V1 up to V8, V-CAN / V-DAC, the Cambridge Audio DacMagic and the ONKYO NDS1.

The original (very popular) unit was in a plastic enclosure whereas it was felt the SE model justified a more expensive anodised extrusion.  The styling - black sides, silver front- reflects the house styling of Musical Fidelity a decade ago.

We gave Mike some rendered images from our Solidworks CAD system and he posted them on his blog here  http://rockgrotto.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=q&action=display&thread=6464.  The response was good and the first batch of psu cases has been delivered.

Did you know?

You can fit any size circuit board into our enclosures. Either with a special carrier plate or with a custom sized UnioBox. Did you also know that there is no minimum order for boxes or panel printing. Just email us your requirements and drawings and we can quote you per unit.

We can engineer your housing for you, using your circuit board and a sketch of your front panel.
